Prototyping and Testing Facility (PTF)

The KAUST-CU Prototyping and Testing Facility (PTF) provides preparation and synthesis tools, analytical instruments, and testing equipment for the scale-up of nanoscale hybrid materials research and development. Open to all KAUST-CU stakeholders, the facility provides members — postdoctoral fellows and students — the opportunity to develop the specialized experimental methods essential to this new field of science and technology.

The PTF provides 4,000 square feet of space in Kimball Hall on the Engineering Quad of Cornell University, including synthesis and preparation (700 square feet), characterization (1,400 square feet), and two clean rooms (900 square feet) in support of the four thrusts of the center.
